Week 37
How far along: 37 weeks! Full Term!
Total weight gain: 19 pounds
Sleep: Not good at all... I have officially moved down to the couch with a foam pad. Stafford tried sleeping downstairs with me the first night, but quickly decided it was extremely uncomfortable and I would never expect him to leave that comfy bed upstairs. I think our bed is too soft for me right now. The couch gives me extra support. It's gotten better, but I think from here on out I'm just going to be uncomfortable. No big deal.
Maternity clothes? Leggings- I did wear my jeans out with a maternity shirt, but being freezing and uncomfortable is not worth it, so I'm back to the leggings :)
Stretch marks: Nope... Hoping to make it to the end!
Best moment this week: I finally finished my last sewing project for McKinlee's room.. so far. Leaning over a sewing machine is not the most comfortable thing, and that's why I put it off for so long. I finally finished the lamp though and it looks so good!
Miss anything? Being comfortable... I'm ready for the back aches to go away and the rib pain to be gone and the heart burn to stop. It's not horrible, but it will be so nice to not have those things anymore :)
Movement? Yep.. I think it's slowing down a little this week. She's just cozy in there and lovin being with mom all day.
Food cravings: I'm seriously not a believer in big food cravings, but I know that ice still sounds good and I've been loving hershey bars dipped in peanut butter.. mmmm. I definitely had some tonight and it was amazing.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I've been feeling a little sick randomly after eating occasionally. I don't think it's going to stick though. It was more of just a one day thing.
Have you started to show: Duh! I ran in to a couple friends I haven't seen in a while, both guys, so they didn't put it gently that I was "very" pregnant. haha dang it. I thought I hid this bump so well.
Gender: Girl :)
Labor signs: braxton hicks (specially after working out!) and a lot of pressure downtown. I think she's ready... Please let her be ready!
Belly button in or out? umm.. flat-ish.
Wedding ring on or off? on
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy :) I think the mood has kicked in because I'm home alone all day for the most part. I'm not leaving if I don't have to because it is 5 degrees outside and snowy... so basically I can't wait for McKinlee to get here so I have someone to talk to (even if it is in a high pitched baby voice).
Looking forward to: Holding her :) This might sound weird, but I'm kind of excited to go into labor too. Not knowing when it's going to happen and not knowing what it will feel like is kind of fun. haha I'm crazy I know. I'm nervous as heck, but I'm definitely excited as well :)
My doctor said she could come anytime now! He also said she's about 5- 5 1/2 pounds, so I should be delivering a cute little 6 1/2 pounder (don't worry, my heart's not set on this.. anything could happen)! I'm so happy! I was nervous to deliver a big baby.. Specially when I was so worried about having gestational diabetes. He also said I can be induced anytime after 39 weeks... As in 2 weeks people!! I'm freaking out. If we induce her... we're basically choosing her birthday.. what if she turns into a mean little girl because we gave her the wrong birthday?! Part of me doesn't want to induce because I'm excited for the actual going into labor part. How fun to not be expecting it and it will just happen! I also want her to cook for as long as she needs. The other part of me really wants an induction because then I can have my mom here on time and we would plan it for a Thursday since Stafford doesn't have classes on Friday. That way we could spend a little longer together without consequences :) So many decisions! I'm just happy. What a great day.

ReplyDeleteKelsi- I am so excited for you guys and super excited to meet little cutie! Can't wait to hear her story. I am sure you already have, but pray about it, you will know what to do. Maybe she'll come this week! Wouldn't that be fun. Keep us posted...we will be on the edge of our seats when the big day arrives! Love you lots!
